Bio:

Sandra is a Registered General Nurse and has over 20 years of experience working in both the NHS and private sector. Sandra is highly experienced in assessing individual client needs using a robust and analytical approach. She has over 14 years of experience with the NHS as a Nurse Assessor and Personalised Commissioning. As part of this role, she commissions, and reviews funded care packages from commercial agencies which gives her a clear understanding of the complexities associated with community care provision.

Sandra has worked as a Case Manager both in the private and statutory sectors. This experience ensures she is familiar with the challenges faced by clients with complex care needs and the importance of ensuring any commissioned care is appropriately funded and well managed. Sandra has been a volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Society, and her experience and knowledge of the National Framework has assisted individuals with their CHC funding.

Sandra works for Jane James and Associates as an Expert Witness taking instructions from both Claimant and Defendant Solicitors for liability reporting. Her areas of expertise include orthopaedic injuries, brain injury, elderly care, learning disabilities and dementia care. Sandra has completed the Cardiff University Bond Solon Civil Expert Certificate, and in 2021 Sandra received Coroners Court training and attended Coroners Court as a Nurse Expert Witness.
