Bio:

Emily is a highly experienced Neurological Physiotherapist with over 10 years of clinical experience delivering specialist neurological rehabilitation across inpatient, community, and domiciliary settings. Her primary area of expertise is brain injury rehabilitation, working with individuals presenting with complex physical, cognitive and behavioural needs.

Emily currently works within a specialist Level 1 inpatient neurological rehabilitation service in Bristol, managing individuals with complex acquired brain injuries. In January 2025, she established an independent practice covering Wiltshire and surrounding areas. Emily works closely with individuals and case managers providing domiciliary neurological physiotherapy services for clients with brain injury and other neurological conditions.

Emily’s specialist skills include postural management and assessment for complex postural support systems, spasticity management, hydrotherapy, and the prescription and review of specialist orthotics. She has extensive experience working with clients presenting with cognitive impairment and behaviours that challenge, including the formulation and implementation of positive behaviour support strategies to help support with wellbeing and engagement.

Emily produces Neurophysiotherapy reports for use in litigation for Jane James & Associates as an independent expert witness taking instructions from both Claimants and Defendants firms.
